Barriere Elementary School (BES) held it’s annual Scholastic Book Fair on Nov. 14 and 15. The school and Canada Scholastic Publishing work together on the Fair for mutual benefits as other schools do as well. This company is one of the leading publishers and distributors of children’s books and educational materials in Canada.
Scholastic Book Fairs are an event that brings children together with the newest books and educational materials and also helps to bring back essential resources to the school.
BES teacher, Mrs. Kennedy, noted “The profits we make from the book sales at the Fair go towards new books for the school library and other learning materials that we need.”
Those attending all agreed that a big thank you goes to teachers, Ms. Salvaty and Mrs. Kennedy, for organizing and running the event and for their ongoing dedication to the school library.
