Come one come all to the North Thompson Fall Fair and Rodeo 2017.

This year the Thompson Valley Players are pleased to sponsor the Family Dance at the North Thompson Fall Fair Hall on Friday, Sept. 1 at 7pm. Come and bring the whole family; kick up your heels and show everyone your fancy dance moves.

There will be a concession, and admission is only a toonie! Children under six get in for free. This is an alcohol free event for everyone from babies to seniors, because we all know dancing is good for the soul at any age.

So brush off those dancing shoes and experience the Macarena, the Chicken Dance, The Bunny Hop, The Twist and much more. This should be an entertaining evening full of surprises and fun for all.

Then on Monday join in “The Family Parade”. This is a walking parade from the Barriere Secondary up East Lake Road into the fair grounds and ending at the Fall Fair Entertainment Stage. The parade begins to assemble around 9:30 a.m. and the judging is at 10 a.m. and the parade is set to start by 10:30 a.m.

We encourage you to bring the whole family, even your pets. You can decorate your bike, tricycle, wagon, scooter, your dog and even grandpa, the possibilities are endless.

Remember seniors, you are also more than welcome to dress up your scooters and join the parade, we would love to have you!

There will be five Special Ribbons awarded with a $25 prize, and many other Rosette ribbons will be awarded for your efforts.

This year there is also a special Canada 150 Ribbon for the best Canada themed group.

So see you Monday morning all dressed up and ready to join the parade.
