The Barriere Senior Girls basketball team has been having a very successful season so far.
They attended two tournaments in December, placing third in Merritt, followed by a third-place finish in Ashcroft the next weekend.
They have played in a couple league games as well, where they have come out victorious. The team is at the midway point of the season where they are continuing to grow and improve before the playoffs. The team has their Cougar Classic Jan. 20-21 and we hope to have you come out and cheer us on. The first game is at 3:15 p.m. on Friday vs KSA, and there will be concession serving bannock and chili.
The team would like to thank the community for their continued support and also the Barriere First Responders for the grant money, as it has helped cover hotel fees.
