Simpcw First Nation, along with the Chu Chua Volunteer Fire Department are celebrating.
As of 8 a.m. Monday, Mar. 18, the community is now live for 911 Fire Dispatch call outs by Kamloops Fire Dispatch.
If you live in Chu Chua and require assistance from the Chu Chua Fire Department you must now dial 911. You must also dial 911 for police or ambulance.
The move to 911 Fire Dispatch was made possible by Simpcw establishing and correcting numbered addresses in the community in collaboration with the Thompson Nicola Regional District.
