UPDATE: Highway 5 south reopened between Barriere and Louis Creek

Update:

Highway 5 is fully reopened following a single vehicle incident, and vehicle recovery Wednesday morning.

DriveBC is warning motorists of limited visibility with snow from Little Fort to Avola.

The southbound lane of Highway 5 south of Barriere is closed Wednesday morning, Nov. 30.

DriveBC is reporting that there is a vehicle incident between Russell Street and Hanson Road. Detour not available.

No word at this time the cause of the incident, however, the area has been under a snowfall warning since Tuesday.
