The family of Shirley Hawkings is saddened to announce her passing on November 9, 2023. Shirley was born in Northampton, England, on October 21, 1943.
In 1981, she and her husband Vince moved from England to Canada, settling in the community of Barriere with their two young sons. She was well-known as an amazing cook and worked in local restaurants for many years. She inherited a love of gardening from her dad and spent many happy days among her flowers. She used her artistic talent for painting, crafts, jewellery making, and sewing elaborate Halloween costumes.
In her later years, Shirley found her true passion and purpose in practising and teaching Reiki. Sharing her healing energy with others brought her great joy.
Shirley will be missed by her husband Vince, sons Scott (Terrianne) and Jamie (Sharleen), and grandchildren Owen, Dane, Kayte, and Ali.
