Mr. Thomas John Hambrook passed away peacefully in Kamloops on Oct. 21, 2016, at the age of 83 years.

He will be sadly missed by his loving wife Jean Winnifred; his son James (Lisa Lavoie) Hambrook of Kamloops, his grandchildren Terry, Robyn, Zachary and Nathan, and his brother Jim (Pamela) Hambrook of Kamloops. Thomas was predeceased by his son Charles Hambrook.

Thomas was born in Port Coquitlam on Dec. 12, 1932. The family settled in the interior of B.C. where they farmed and logged.

Thomas spent his professional life with the B.C. Forest Service. After his retirement he became self-employed as a Waste Surveyor and loved life in the forest. Following his second retirement he and his wife, Jean spent their time rock hounding and camping throughout the interior.

A Celebration of Thomas’s’ life will be held on Saturday, Oct. 29, 2016, at 1 p.m. at The Hamlet’s, Grand Hall, 3255 Overlander Drive, Kamloops.

Should friends desire, donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Society or the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
