42nd Terry Fox Run reaches over $200,000 raised by Barriere

Barri ere hosted its 42nd Annual Terry Fox Run on Sept. 18.

When the dust had settled there was much cause for celebrations over $200,000 has now been raised in the 42 years that the event has been hosted in the community.

This years Run brought in a total of $8,563 with some dollars yet to come in from t-shirt sales.

Young Declan Nystoruk was given the honour of carrying the Terry FoxRun flag, which he did with great pride and a very

large smile.

The North Thompson Fall Fair and Rodeo Association’s three Ambassadors were in attendance, and assisted with t-shirt sales and information about the run.

Organizer Kathy Cooper started the event off with a warm up to start, and then everyone was off raising money to help find a cure for cancer.
