It’s time to pick up your tickets for the 2014 Barriere Citizen of the Year Banquet, which will be held on March 14, in the Fall Fair Hall.
The event will be honouring Audrey Rilcoe for her volunteerism and commitment to the community.
If you would like to roast or toast Rilcoe, or make a presentation during the banquet please contact Jane Milburn at 250-672-9391, or contact the North Thompson Volunteer Centre at 250-672-0033 to advise the MC of your wishes.
The other nominees for the 2014 Citizen of the Year award will also be recognized during the presentations; Bruce Clary, Todd English, Charlie Kibble, Marnie and Gary Pfeifer, and Jerry Wenlock.
Tickets for the event are available at the Star/Journal office and at the North Thompson Volunteer Centre in the Ridge.
We would also like to remind area residents to keep in mind the names of those in the community who may be likely candidates for the 2015 Barriere Citizen of the Year Award. Call for nominations for the 2015 award will go out in October 2015.
The Barriere Citizen of the Year Award is sponsored by the North Thompson Star/Journal with assistance from the North Thompson Volunteer Centre.
