Artists and crafters called to craft swap

North Thompson Arts Council will be holding a Craft Swap on March 23, 10 a.m. to noon

Calling all artists and crafters - the North Thompson Arts Council will be holding a Craft Swap on March 23, 10 a.m. to noon, at the North Thompson Volunteer and Information Centre in Barriere.

What is a craft swap?

Well, anyone who has a craft or art related hobby, likely has various bits and pieces they’ve picked up over the years that they never seem to get around to using.

Sheets of pretty papers, balls of wool, quilt squares, a set of fancy scissors - only one of which you ever use, the others just cluttering up your drawer.  Or perhaps you tried out a new craft a while ago and realized it just wasn’t your cup of tea, and now you’re stuck with all the supplies that you purchased.

A craft swap is the perfect opportunity, not only to get rid of the items you know you’ll never use, but to pick up some items for the craft or art that you are interested in.

Everyone who comes brings whatever they want to get rid of - and gets to pick up any bits or pieces that others bring that they would like.  No money is exchanged, just items.

Any item even remotely related to an art or craft is acceptable to bring: rubber stamps, balls of wool, ribbons, charcoal pencils, paintbrushes, paper punches, ink, paper of any description, material, knitting or crochet needles, thread, patterns, how-to books or magazines on any craft or art, just to name a few.

Everyone is welcome to take part in this craft swap.
