The Grand Opening and Ribbon Cutting Ceremony on Mother’s Day, Sunday, May 8, at the Barriere Bandshell is quickly approaching. While the last finishing touches are being made to the Bandshell the Thompson Valley Players are learning some new routines to bring to that stage.

This year the players, both young and old, are branching out with a glee chorus.  They will be presenting various songs and paradies during the opening’s celebrations; many other local artists will also be appearing as well.  Organizers say they still have a few spots left for anyone who would like to perform!

The Bandshell is situated in Fadear Park on Barriere Town Road, just across from the Senior’s Hall.  There is lots of excitement scheduled to take place throughout Fadear Park between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m., with plenty to keep the whole family entertained, and fun for everyone.
