Barriere and area organizations considering applying for Rural Dividend funding invited to roundtable discussion

A roundtable discussion will take place in council chambers open to any organization interested in applying for Rural Dividend funding

Is your organization considering applying for Rural Dividend funding? If so, you may be interested in sending a representative to a round table discussion in the District of Barriere council chambers on Monday, May 2, from 4:30 p.m. – 6 p.m. at the Ridge.  The round table is to facilitate discussion amongst potential Rural Dividend applicants from this area as to what the community priorities should be for this application process. There are a number of possibilities being talked about, including a couple of multi-partnerships such as the Interpretive Centre and the Solar Aquatics plant. In order to move ahead the partners have to be in agreement so it’s important that the Barriere and District Chamber of Commerce, the North Thompson Fall Fair and Rodeo Association, Lower North Thompson Community Forest Society, Simpcw First Nation and others participate in this round table discussion, particularly because of the overlap of members/partners wearing different hats.
