District of Barriere Councilor Donna Kibble is reminding citizens to make sure they submit their entries for the Barriere Blooms Contest by the closing date of Monday, Aug. 8.
“Folks can still register at the District of Barriere office or on the website at: www.barriere.ca,” said Kibble while also noting there are cash prizes for the winners.
“Contest categories include Business, Residential, Churches and Non-profits,” added Kibble, “However, the Kids Class entries have now closed.”
Judging will take place on Thursday, Aug. 11, and Friday, Aug. 12.
Winners will be announced at Bandshell Friday in Fadear Park on Aug. 12, just before the music starts.
