The North Thompson Fall Fair Best Dressed Business in Barriere contest required participating businesses to use one of the two 2016 fall fair themes in their displays, scarecrows or heavy horses. In all, 14 area businesses entered the contest and all received recognition for their hard work and effort to decorate the community. Entrants included; Armour Mountain Office Services, Sam’s Pizza and Rib House, Work BC Barriere, Drake Cremation and Funeral Services, Interior Savings and Interior Savings Insurance, Yellowhead Pioneer Residence, The Blue Jar Bistro, Barriere and Area Chamber of Commerce, the Annex Thrift Shop, Baglady Bottle Depot, Insight Tire, Mane Street Hair Salon, Mountain Springs Motel, and Yellowhead Pioneer Residence.
