Barriere Elementary School (BES) held their annual track and field day on Wednesday, May 11. The turnout was impressive and the weather was kind.

“Our track and field day was a huge success,” reported BES Principal Brogan, “It was a tremendous day in which we had a total of 52 students qualify for zones. I am very proud of students for all the hard work and respectful sportsmanship. I especially want to thank the PAC for running the concession, and Kathy Matthew’s for organizing the event.”

Brogan says BES students will be competing in Kamloops Track and Fied Zones on May 25. Successful young athletes will then move on to compete in District Track and Field competitions scheduled to take place in Kamloops on June 3.
