BARRIERE - Barriere and area residents are advised that the emergency department at Barriere Health Centre is closed today, Oct. 5, due to limited staffing availability.
Interior Health reminds people that anyone requiring emergency care should call 911.
Alternate emergency services are available at:
Royal Inland Hospital – 311 Columbia Street, Kamloops
(24/7 emergency department services)
If you are unsure what services you need, please call 811 to speak to a registered nurse.
Barriere Health Centre remains open for other services, including booked physician appointments.
Interior Health apologizes for this temporary interruption to normal services. We anticipate the emergency department will open Wednesday, Oct. 6.
Normal emergency department hours in Barriere are Monday to Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
