The annual Barriere Secondary Grad Fashion Show scheduled for Apr. 21 was unexpectedly cancelled due to a more than seven hour power outage caused by a thunder storm. The storm had raged through the North Thompson Valley just a few hours before the show was set to start.

Staff, parents, volunteers, supporters and of course the students and the graduating class all rallied together, and through determination and team spirit pulled off a wonderful presentation on the following day.

Approximately 200 people turned out for the fashion show and silent auction, which is an annual fundraiser for the graduating class.

Those who attended report the performance was fun, entertaining and  a job well done by all.
