Barriere Library Summer Reading Club mascot has a new home

Rackie the Barriere Summer Reading Program mascot has found a new home with their person, Kade in Barriere.

Hello, my name is “Rackie”. I have gone to live with my new friend Kade Panio.

Each Thompson Nicola Regional District library holds an annual ' Name the mascot' contest to win a finger puppet or small stuffie and this year in Barriere, Kade was the winner. On July 6, the winner was chosen and she immediately had the name Rackie chosen because that just fits a cute little raccoon stuffie.

Rackie is the Barriere Library Summer Reading Club mascot. They were named by Kade who was thrilled to have been chosen as Rackie’s human. Rackie reportedly accompanies Kade everywhere.
