Barriere Lions spent last Friday, Saturday and Sunday installing new apparatus at the Barriere Ridge playground.

The equipment was purchased with the aid of a grant received from the Lower North Thompson Community Forest Society and installed by members of the Barriere Lions Club.

The Lions said that special thanks was in order to Timbermart (who donated use of their excavator and some of the materials), and to Quality Contractors (who donated gravel, machine time and staff labor).

Kudos were also given to Sam’s Pizza and Rib House for donating free pizza, and to Barriere A&W for donating free coffee.

Final completion will occur later this week after the concrete has completely set.
