Barriere radio station The BEAR 93.1 radio extends reach to Little Fort

The BEAR 93.1 radio station in Barriere was off line for a short time this week while maintenance work was done to adjust transmission levels and extend the reach of their signal.

The BEAR 93.1 radio station in Barriere was off line for a short time this week while maintenance work was done to adjust transmission levels and extend the reach of their signal.

“It is working again. Better than ever,” said Leah Conni-Jean Brown on a social media post, “Better transmission. If you couldn’t get it to come in before, try now.”

Joanne Pettersen of Darfield says she couldn’t get the station before, but now she can and really is enjoying it.Pettersen also commented that on a recent drive her vehicle radio picked up The Bear 93.1 all the way to Little Fort.

“More improvements are coming,” said Brown, “Thank you Barriere for being a kind and supportive community.”
