This is the Society’s current logo.

The Barriere & District Seniors’ Society has been around for quite a few years, providing entertainment and activities for their members, and also building their current hall in order to have a place where many of their activities take place.

The Society says they are now looking to update their image.  To assist in this, the Society is asking Barriere and area residents to help the organization to come up with a new logo.

Their current logo is shown above, and Society members are hoping the new logo will be, “Something more compact perhaps, or simpler, that reflects the values of the Society”.

This is a contest, with a gift certificate for the lucky winner.

Anyone of any age or artistic experience is welcome to place an entry in this competition.

The winning logo will be used as the Society’s official letter head and on all future signs and posters.

Contest rules:

1. All entries must be turned in to the North Thompson Volunteer & Information Centre (in the Ridge) no later than 12 noon on Mar. 15, 2016.  The hours at the Volunteer Centre are Mon.-Thurs. 9 a.m. – 12 p.m.

2. Do not sign your entry! As submissions are received they will be numbered, then  the number with the name of the entrant noted on a separate sheet.

3. The name of the group “Barriere & District Seniors’ Society” does not necessarily have to be written out in full within the logo – initials would be acceptable.

4. Winners will be announced at the Senior’s Breakfast on Mar. 20, 2016, at 9:30 a.m.

The judges will be local dignitaries who are not members of the Seniors’ Society.

The Society looks forward to receiving many entries and encourages everyone to drop off their submissions.
