Barriere Seniors Lunch and Learn ‘Better at Home’ presentation

A vibrant atmosphere filled the Barriere and District Seniors’ Drop-In Centre as 27 eager individuals gathered for a Lunch And Learn event. The April 17 occasion, featuring April Christensen from Yellowhead Community Services, showcased the invaluable United Way program, Better At Home, tailored to enhance the lives of seniors within the Barriere community.

April Christensen, a representative from Yellowhead Community Services, presented the facets of the Better At Home Program, emphasizing its role in providing essential support for seniors to maintain independence within their homes for longer durations. The informative session resonated with attendees, highlighting the significance of such initiatives in fostering a supportive community environment.

In addition to the enriching presentation, attendees were treated to tasty taco bowls and refreshing beverages, generously provided free of charge.
