Winter! If I could think of a way to get rid of all that miserable white stuff, I’d do it post-haste (a fancy P.O. word for NOW).
Unfortunately, none of my attempts worked, so we’re stuck with the status quo.
Therefore, if you see me up at Sun Peaks (top of the hill) with boards attached to my snowshoes, you’ve either been in the local watering hole way too long, or you’re seriously seeing things. Go save yourselves from unwanted embarrassment and don’t wave at me, ‘cause I ain’t there.
There were three tables of whist in play at Monday Night Whist at the Senior’s Hall. The winners were Gordon Crichton with a 214 score, and Maureen Corbett with 208. Other good scores were Carol Bugera 204, Carol Jones 201, Eva Long 200, and Joe Sabyan with 200.
There was also a fairly good turnout for Fun Cards at the hall last Wednesday at 1 p.m.
There will be a meeting at the Senior’s Hall on February 3 for the election of officers for the Senior’s Society. Pizza to follow, and new members are also welcomed.
