The Chris Buck Band will be performing at the Barriere Block Party at the Bandshell on June 25.

“The party of the year is set to happen June 25 at the Barriere Bandshell when the North Thompson Volunteer and Information Center presents the Big Barriere Block Party,” says organizer Charlie Kibble, “This is going to be a fun family event.”

Kibble says the fun and games will be starting at 4 p.m.

“Put your shopping shoes on, as there will be a flea market on site as well as farmer’s market booths, non-profit information displays,  home based business booths, and of course food trucks and concessions,” said Kibble, “Some fun local entertainment will be on the stage starting at 5 p.m., followed up by our headliner The Chris Buck Band.”

Reviews for the Chris Buck Band say they have been tearing up stages all across western Canada this year.   The bands energetic brand of new country music has people dancing and singing everywhere they perform.  Their singles, Caribbean Dream, Leave the Lights On, and Giddyup are receiving air time on all major country music stations. Over the past year Chris Buck has had the opportunity to open for such superstars as Sam Hunt, Thomas Rhett, Colt Ford and The Nitty Gritty Dirt Band.
