This lovely yellow labrador did not come to find Easter eggs at the recent Lion’s Easter Egg Hunt in Barriere.  This dog was at work, watching his young master, nine-year-old Jason who has autism.

Candy Gubbles, Jason’s Mom, explained, “The dog is especially trained to support children who suffer from this disease, and Echo is is only three-years-old.  He has to attend training tests regularly, and our family have to treat him according to what keeps him doing his duties. Jason’s life has improved so much since Echo is with him.  Echo keeps him calm when Jason gets upset.  The dog walks close to him,  and in so doing my son can touch him which lessens his anxiety.”

Jason enjoyed all the Easter Sunday activities held at the Ball Park, in part thanks to his constant companion Echo.
