Brush pile burner in Barriere ball park concerns residents

Person or persons has been lighting piles on fire and police are now investigating

Barriere Fire Department chief, Al Kirkwood, says recent lighting of brush piles in the Barriere Ball Park is cause for concern for residents in the area.

The brush piles were created in cleaning up the park and had not been removed. A person or persons has been lighting them on fire and police are now investigating.

“If anyone has seen or sees suspicious activity in the park they should contact the RCMP,” said Kirkwood.
