The owners of Barriere Irly Building Centre recently announced that in the New Year their Barriere store will become an Irly TIM-BR Mart.
The change means the local business will be joining over 740 independently owned TIM-BR Marts across Canada, and the proprietors say this is a positive first step towards a new Building Centre for Barriere.
“TIM-BR Mart’s buying power, flyer, and credit card programs will enhance our ability to compete, while remaining an independent store, said owner Shawn Fadear, “Another big feature of TIM-BR Mart is the Air Miles reward program. We will soon be able to offer Air Miles to our customers and contractors, another benefit of shopping locally.”
Fadear says the store has had great support in their first year of operation, from both the community and local contractors.
“Our goal is to expand into a new store, but the challenging economic times forces one to re-evaluate the timing of all plans,” said the proprietor, “We also want to leave our present home in the hands of another business person, ensuring that the downtown area of the community will remain vibrant.”
The owners and staff say they thank all of their customers for shopping in Barriere, and they look forward to continuing to serve them in the future as an Irly TIM-BR Mart.
