Christmas Cowboy Church returns at last to Barriere

Christmas Cowboy Church returns at last to Barriere

By Rev. Graham K. Brownmiller

For several years, the Anglican Church of the Redeemer here in Barriere hosted a Christmas Cowboy Church.

When the Church of the Redeemer and Barriere United Church joined (with the local Lutherans) to form the Church of St. Paul, Cowboy Church was one of the things that was not done right away; but now it’s back!

The congregation of the Church of St. Paul has committed to bringing Christmas Cowboy Church back this year, on Sunday, Dec. 4, at 7:00 p.m.

Butch Falk will be in attendance offering music and leadership, and if we can get them off of their roundups, some other special guests may show up too.

This is a laid back church service for all people: those who rarely come to church, and those who attend regularly.

There will be some poetry and music by Butch, and a telling of the Christmas Story.

There will be refreshments served after the service.

Bring yourselves as you are, down to the Church of St. Paul on Sunday Dec. 4, at 7 p.m. See you there!
