The Thompson Valley Players drama week summer camp, hosted in partnership with Barriere and Area Literacy and Learning and the North Thompson Volunteer Centre (NTVIC), was packed with numerous little kids having a wonderful time. The final day of the camp took place on Friday, July 22 with a public performance by the kids. They sang, danced and acted for an audience of parents, siblings and friends. Although a little shy at first, the youngsters soon warmed up to their first public performance thanks to the guidance of facilitator Natasha Holowaychuk.
The Summer Camp program runs at the Barriere Ridge, Monday to Friday, 10 a.m. - 2 p.m., until Aug. 12. Drop in fee for youngsters five to 12 is just a twoonie a day. Call Ashley at NTVIC, 250-672-0033 for more info.
