Exhibit Hall perpetual awards given out at Fair

The Leone Woodward Memorial Perpetual Aggregate Trophy was awarded to Jean Webber

The Exhibit Hall at the North Thompson Fall Fair and Rodeo was filled to overflowing with baking, crafts, hobbies, photography, field crops, vegetables, flowers, sewing, and much more over the Labour Day Weekend.

Those who had excelled in their divisions were awarded perpetual trophies on Monday, Sept. 5, by Exhibit Hall Convenor Sylvia Chivers.

Recipients were:

The Leone Woodward Memorial Perpetual Aggregate Trophy was awarded to Jean Webber, of Barriere.  Jean was also awarded the R. Larson Family Grand Aggregate Award.

The Inga Rainer Memorial Perpetual Aggregate Trophy was awarded to Colleen Christensen.

Hank Searle Memorial Trophy in the Boys and Girls Section was won by Tyson Schilling.

The Best Bale of Hay Perpetual Trophy donated by Albert and Marie Piva was won for the third time by Brian Gunderson.

Rhu Castle Cup ‘Best In Show’ in the Wine Section went to Gordon Ireland.

The perpetual Scarecrow Contest (recycled materials) Art Knapps Trophy was awarded to Danny Christianson.

Winner of the $500 cash prize in the Best Mechanical Scarecrow Contest was Chris Newton.
