Fair Association hosting small animal auction the end of April

Mark your calendar; Saturday, April 30, at 10 a.m., the North Thompson Fall Fair and Rodeo Association (NTFFRA) will be hosting their spring small animal auction at the fairgrounds in Barriere.  The auction will be held in the sheep and goat ring just east of the curling rink.

Consignors and those looking for just the right animal or bird will find this to be a fun event.

Organizers say they hope consigners will come in with small caged birds, rabbits, cavies, peacocks and more.  Goats and sheep are also welcome.  Organizer Donna Kibble says, “We encourage people to register their consignments now so that we can let people know when they inquire what we have coming.”

Valley auctioneer Barry Brady will once gain be taking the bids, and all proceeds will go to the NTFFRA.

Kibble notes that the auction will also take consignments of livestock and agricultural equipment and tack; such as egg incubators, harness, heated water bowls, etc.

Alongside the auction will be the Barriere Curling Club’s annual Flea Market in the Curling Rink.  Those not interested in taking home livestock can find something else to tempt them. You will also find a concession there, and lots of folks to visit with.

Anyone wishing more information on the event or wishing to register livestock can contact Donna Kibble at 250-672-5672, or email: donnakibble@yahoo.ca..
