Family and friends bring Christmas to Keith Moore

Barriere resident Keith Moore is in his 99th year, and now resides in the community at the Yellowhead Pioneer Residence. Keith has been around for awhile, and as a result we expect he has pretty much seen everything when it comes to small town spirit. However, last weekend, his daughter Sherry, along with husband Phil Braithwaite, and their neighbours Doug and Arlene Pratt from East Barriere Lake (who are friends of the family) provided Keith with a seasonal spirit of their own making.

Sherry tells, “In Christmas’ before COVID-19, the Pratts and my husband and I would visit Dad and have a Christmas party with ‘appies’ and drinks. This year, Doug and Arlene still wanted to share the Christmas spirit with Dad in some covid-friendly way. So they decided to decorate a Christmas tree outside of his apartment. I sat inside with Dad while we watched my husband Phil, Doug, and Arlene decorate Dad’s own special tree – Merry Christmas Dad!”
