The Gilbert Smith Forest Products Ltd. leadership team recently spent a weekend developing their communication and leadership skills with a focus on individuals’ personal commitments to areas of self improvement as managers.
“The forest products industry naturally cycles up and down and we take pride in our ability to pivot and embrace new opportunities,” said a GSFP press release, “Good communication is critical to this process, as well as fostering innovation, supporting safety, enabling strong relationships with our employees, community and customers.”
The weekend was capstoned by a presentation on the fundamentals of being a great leader from Canadian Gold Medal Olympian and former Senator Nancy Green Raine.
