Give mom chocolate and comedy

For all the chocolate lovers out there this evening’s for you!  If you like everything chocolate, you won’t want to miss ‘An Evening of Chocolate and Comedy’ at the Fall Fair Hall on May 14, at 7 p.m.

An ‘Adult Only’ event, but organizers say that it “is definitely not an X rated show”.  This will be clean comedy and magic by well known comedy magician Clinton W. Gray.

Clinton promises to wow the adults with his great comedy and magic mixture – a performance that consistently keeps folks talking long after the event.

Holding the event for adults only is all just part of putting on a “classy evening” of fun and socializing say representatives of the North Thompson Fall Fair and Rodeo Association who are hosting this fundraiser.

“We want to give adults a chance to have an enjoyable dress-up evening in the comfort of their own community. You’ll experience a great entertainer, while at the same time sampling absolutely yummy chocolate creations.”

They promise attendees will be able to browse the chocolate tables sampling as they go.  They’ll find truffles, chocolate fountains, plus numerous other sweet treats to enjoy.   And for those who must abstain from chocolate there will be plates of fresh fruit, cheeses, and crackers; not to mention a no-host bar courtesy of the Barriere Lions Club.’

This is a great gift for mom or that special lady in your life as a Mother’s Day present; she can enjoy Mother’s Day with family and the kids, and then the next weekend it will be her night out at ‘An Evening of Chocolate and Comedy’; what could be better?

Tickets are starting to sell quickly so folks are encouraged to pick theirs up now to avoid disappointment at the door. Tickets are $15 for adults and $10 for seniors.  They are available at the Star/Journal, Barriere Country Feeds, the NT Volunteer and Information Centre, and the District of Barriere.

All profits from the event will go towards the construction of the North Thompson Agriplex. A multi-use 30,000 square foot facility that will include 20,000 sq. ft. of clear span, and is being built on the Association’s property in Barriere.

Anyone who would like more information about the North Thompson Agriplex,  or ‘An Evening of Chocolate and Comedy’ can contact Jill at 250-319-8023, or Donna at 250-672-5672.
