Thirty-nine ladies took to the fairways and greens to play our second-to-last Ladies Golf Night. It was another beautiful day with those lovely September temperatures that make golfing so pleasant. This was our second last week and I was feeling a bit sad that the season would soon be over.

This week was a very special one for Chinook Cove Ladies’ Night. For the first time that I am aware of one of our ladies golfed a perfect game - a feat most of us can only dream about. Kelly McNabney scored a perfect 36 to win low gross for Flight 1. Well done, Kelly! Congratulations. Karen Peterson scored a 44 (35) to win low gross.

The winners in Flight 2 were Carol Willox with a 47 for low gross and Ilke Marais with a 49 (34.5) for low net. In Flight 3, Jessica Thompson scored a 50 to win low gross and close behind with a 51 (31.5) was Doreen Landry to win low net. Low gross winner in Flight 4 was Eileen Whitehead, one of our annual visitors. It was nice to see Eileen again. Lois McInnis came in second with a 63.

Here’s a list of the ladies that won the pin placements this week: Long Drive prizes went to Trudy Forsyth, Doreen Landry, Janice Advent, Kathy Cook, Anita Hill, and Lois McInnis. Long Putt prizes were earned by Darlene Nickull, Louise Lodge, Ilke Marais and Jess Thompson. Least Putts went to Trish Thompson with only 15 while Val Aylward (26) took the most putts. Kelly McNabney had two KPs. Betty Foote had two as well while Trish Thompson had one. The KP in two folks were Catharine and Jeannie Webber.

“But what about the pots,” you ask. Cindy Leibel and Kelly McNabney shared the Birdie Pot while Anita Hill, Jessica Thompson and Rose Seymour split the Chip In Pot. The Deuce pot went unclaimed again and continues to build. Our hole-in-one prizes remain unclaimed and if they don’t go next Tuesday they will be added to the door prize table.

One more week to go. See you on the course.
