Get out of the winter blah’s and into a good book. There are lots of new titles to choose from at the Barriere Library, as well as a wide variety of DVD’s and audio books.
Don’t forget, if they don’t have the book you’re looking for, the librarians can order them in from other libraries; not only throughout B.C., but throughout North America.
Here are some good titles to consider:
The Distant Hours by Kate Morton - A letter posted in 1941 finally reaches its destination in 1992 with powerful repercussions for Edie Burchill, a London book editor. Dead Zero by Stephen Hunter - Swagger is recruited by the FBI to stop the Cruise Missile from reaching his target. The problem is that the more Swagger learns about what happened in Zabol, the more he questions the U.S. government’s support of Zarzi and the more he identifies with Cruz as hunter instead of prey.
