Wednesday, Aug. 10, was a good day for kids to play. It was the weekly day that ‘Healthy Beginnings’, a long standing community group, gathers with parents, and even grandparents as they spend time together at the Ridge, in Barriere.
Shelley Piva, the facilitator of this organization for ten years, says, “The children have a good time socializing with each other, and parents can exchange ideas and share their experiences about raising their children. We have organized games and celebrate special events and times together. There is an educational component to our gathering, and it is good to see how the children use their own imagination at play and how the different age groups interact with each other.”
