The Sept. 11, Harvest Festival hosted by the North Thompson Garden Club in the Barriere Community Garden was filled with sunshine, produce, music, and socializing.
Approximately 125 people came out to enjoy the festivities, which included live entertainment, a tomato tasting contest, and ended with an auction.
North Thompson Valley Garden Club members ran the concession serving homemade chili and buns; while other members sold veggies, plants, flowers, and pies. Norma Venne won the tomato tasting contest, and samples of her winning tomato were passed around to those wishing to have a taste.
There were two door prizes this year; a composter - won by Colleen Collins, and a garden basket filled with gardening goodies - won by Jill Hayward.
