The Barriere and District Heritage Society’s annual fundraising Meat Draw saw the winning tickets pulled on Dec. 18, 2020.

First place of a $200 meat pack went to Darrell Fennell, second place of a $100 meat pack went to Joanne Barry, and the third place prize of a turkey went to Marj McGregor.

“All funds generated will be used to pay for utilities and upkeep of the North Thompson Museum and Archives,” said Heritage Society president Lorene Fennell, “We sincerely thank all that purchased tickets for this fundraiser.”

Fennell says the annual fundraiser would not be possible without continuous donations from Mitchell’s Mountain Beef, Rainer’s Custom Cutting, 4Bar S Ranch (Stutt Family), and Fran Wagstaff.

“We also appreciate AG Foods for letting us sit in the lobby to sell tickets, and Petro Can, Armour Mountain Office Supplies, the Annex Thrift Store, and Country Feeds for selling our tickets at their counters,” said Fennell, “Barriere and area residents are truly blessed to have these community minded businesses with staff members who continually support community activities. Thank you to all who purchased tickets.”
