The North Thompson Fall Fair (NTFF) is encouraging area gardeners to attend their annual Spring Plant Sale Fundraiser, happening at the fairgrounds in Barriere on Sunday, May 1, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

“We will be selling a number of different seeds and plants dug from many beautiful area gardens; including strawberry plants,

dalhia tubers, day lillies, ornamental grasses, irises, rhubarb, and more,” said NTFF volunteer and board member Jane Milburn, “We’ll have some gardening tools available as well.”

The group will also be offering one-year-old hot composted horse manure in 20 lb. bags for $15 each, and are advising the manure is free of Grazon, Roundup, fertilizers, and weed killers.

“Please enter the fairgrounds from the Barriere Lakes Road entrance side of the fairgrounds,” advises Milburn, “You’ll find the sale in the covered picnic area directly behind the big grandstand. Come rain or shine, as the sale and the plants will be all under one roof.”

All sales must be cash, cheque, or by eTransfer, as there will be no debit or credit machines on site.

See you there!
