The event was the final in the summer buckle series. The group is now in its 2020/21 season and the winter buckle series will begin Oct. 3. The NTKK uses a four game event, including barrel racing, pole bending, a stake race and a randomly chosen fun event as well as a “4D” ranking system with a three-second split between divisions, giving everyone the chance to win one of 10 buckles, no matter the pace of the rider. To qualify for a buckle, riders must attend a minimum of four events. For more information about the NTKK, contact Kyra Blackburn at 250-214-1924 or find the group on Facebook at North Thompson Kan Kickers.
