Hot doggin it for dollars

Erin Stratton bites into a loaded hot dog at the Barriere Elementary School’s concession booth (that she was running) during a flea market and plant sale fundraiser held at the school this spring.

The yummy smell of cooking hot dogs is wafting over area communities as spring fundraisers get well underway.

A hot dog sale has always proved to be a good opportunity for local groups or service organizations to raise a few dollars for a good cause.

One such event will be at Barr K Treats in Barriere during the June 25 and 26, Celebration of the Arts, which will be held on the restaurant’s property.  They will be offering up hot dogs throughout the event, and all of the profit from the ‘dogs in a bun’ sales will be going to the North Thompson Agriplex fund.

Who can resist a good hot dog? Especially when it supports your community.
