To the editor;

My husband and I traveled to your beautiful part of the province the weekend of Aug. 4, and stopped to get ice at the Chevron gas station and marketplace in Barriere.

We had been traveling for a few hours, and before we decided to stop I felt unwell.

When we arrived at the Chevron store to get ice I definitely knew things were not going well. I managed to get myself into the store to the table and chairs in the small restaurant, and as if an angel appeared out of nowhere a woman by the name of Kieren asked me, “Do you need help, are you okay?”

When I replied,“I don’t think so,” she quickly realized my distress, and placed me in front of their air fan, then offered ice water and a drink made with cumin. She knew exactly what to do to bring my circulation back, focus my attention as I hyperventilated, and gently helped me stabilize my condition and regain my composure.

My faith in humanity and the love from a genuine stranger eased my troubled mind and body. Because of Kieren’s quick and compassionate actions I was brought back to a place of calm and relaxation.

I am forever grateful for her love and for her compassionate soul. Kieren reaffirmed in me, there are angels out there.

With deep gratitude, thank you from the bottom of my heart.
