Interior Savings Day of Difference took place on Thursday, Oct. 21. This is a day when the credit union says thank you to its members and gives back to the community.

Interior Saving’s Barriere celebration kicked off with locally made gifts (such as handcrafted soaps) being handed out to its members.

The branch then closed at a prearranged time of 2 p.m. and staff from the bank and the insurance office headed out into the community to volunteer and help make a difference.

It was easy to spot the team in their blue Interior Savings shirts out and about in local parks, picking up litter, and lending a hand where needed.

”We spent some time with at the Lions Hall doing a deep clean on their kitchen, as well as moving books for their upcoming Used Book Sale,” reported Interior Savings Credit Union Barriere Branch Manager Lindsay Arcand, “After that, we headed over to the Community Garden and did some dirty work pulling weeds and raking up needles and debris.

“It was a beautiful afternoon, the weather cooperated, and we, of course, hope that we made a positive difference in our community!”
