Join the Barriere Seniors Society and stay active through the winter

Activities to suit anyone’s lifestyle, including; trips, cards, carpet bowling, socializing and more

The Barriere and District Senior’s Society is active right through the winter months.  Come join us for our many different events.

Carpet bowlers, and those who would like to learn how to play, can come out and join in on the fun as there is lots of room yet for more players.  They play on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 10 a.m.

Is whist more your style?  Then come out on Mondays at 7 p.m.  We currently have an average of three tables in play, so lots of room for more.

If you prefer a variety of different card games, join us on Wednesdays at 1:30 p.m., when our Fun Cards group meets.

Other upcoming events include our next meeting on Dec. 4, at 3 p.m.; our Christmas Dinner on Dec. 6, cocktails at 5 p.m., dinner at 6 p.m.  If you haven’t already booked your ticket, call Nina at 250-672-5944 or Hazel at 250-672-5587 to see if you can still make it.

At the Jan. 8, regular meeting, there will be a speaker from the District of Barriere - Tasha Buchannan will be speaking about recycling - what can be recycled, and all sorts of helpful information about recycling.

There will also be a bus trip to Tulalip sometime in the Spring.  Anyone can take part - you don’t have to be a senior.  If you are interested, contact Linda at 250-828-2095.

The Barriere and District Senior’s Society wishes everyone a safe and happy Christmas, and all the best for the coming New Year.
