KIds Summer Reading Club ready to start at Barriere Library

The Barriere Library invites kids of all ages to join the 2015 BC Summer Reading Club

The Barriere Library invites kids of all ages to join the 2015 BC Summer Reading Club.  This year’s theme is Build It!

Registration is free and starts at the library on June 23.  Kids receive a special reading record to keep track of their reading.  If they read for at least 15 minutes per day throughout the program they’ll be awarded a special Summer Reading Club medal.

Summer Reading Club motivates kids to read (or be read to) regularly, so it helps to maintain or improve reading skills while school is out.  It makes reading fun by inviting kids to read what they want.  The expert staff at Barriere Library can help kids find just what they like, whether it’s a print book, audiobook, e-book, or magazine.

For more information, and to learn about other free library programs, contests and activities for kids, call the Barriere Library at 250-672-5811 or visit the library located at 4511 Barriere Town Road.  The program runs from July 2 until Aug. 24.
