Friday, Dec. 16, is a great way to start the seasonal holiday kick off with events in the community of Barriere.
Top of the list is remembering to bring the kids and your homemade lanterns (no candles please) to the Christmas Tree Light up and Lantern Parade in Fadear Park by the Bandshell at 6 p.m. There will be a bonfire, concession and plenty of family fun.
For those who work during regular business hours Friday will also be the best day for you to come into the community and take advantage of Late Night Shopping at a number of businesses in Barriere who will remain open until 8 p.m. to help you find all of those gifts on your “who to buy for” Christmas list. Businesses will be offering some super buys and specials – don’t miss out on the bargains.
