Two small wildfires were quickly extinguished in the Lower North Thompson thanks to quick action from air support and grounds crews over the July 1 weekend; one at Bonaparte Lake, and the second past the end of Lemieux Creek Road in Little Fort.
A Little Fort resident noted in a Facebook post, “Fire bombers and ground crews were all over it on July 2.” Another posted, “They were here so fast. I’m happy and impressed.”
