One of the annual projects presented by the Barriere Lions Club is to provide low cost wood to Barriere area residents.  The proceeds collected from this project are then used to fund other Lions’ programs that benefit the local community.

Barriere Lions run pancake breakfasts, wood sales, and book fairs to raise funds to support local programs such as camperships for underprivileged youth, bursaries for students ,and support for individuals and families in need.

The annual wood sale involves a lot of people to make it happen, cutting and splitting the wood, loading it on trucks, and delivering it around the community.  The Club says special thanks should be given to Stamer Logging and Tolko Industries for their support of this fundraiser.

The Lions Club wood sale will deliver a heaped pickup truck load of mixed pine and fir cut and split firewood for $80 to your home, with  seniors receiving a discounted price of $75 per load.  The price includes delivery within the Barriere Fire Protection Area; but delivery outside the area can also be arranged for an additional cost.

To order firewood from the Barriere Lions you can contact Randy Frederick at 250-672-5621.
