McLure Fire Department celebrates completed renovations with ribbon cutting

McLure Fire Department held a barbecue and ribbon cutting to mark the completion and dedication of the newly renovated fire hall on May 4.

At the time of the approved grant for renovations Mel Rothenburger was the Thompson Nicola Regional District director for Area ‘P’ securing the $700,000 worth of funding needed for the renovations via the EA gas tax fund.

Local officials and community members were on hand to celebrate the new addition to the rural volunteer fire department on Saturday.
